Host a booth / Breweries

For taprooms

Pour, Pose, Repeat

A brewery photo booth fits the taproom spirit: casual, social, a little goofy. We set up a real enclosed booth in your space at zero cost to you, maintain it ourselves and send your brewery a share of each session. Friends come for the new release and stay to squeeze onto the bench together.

What changes

What a taproom gains from a curtain

Breweries are where people bring their whole crew: the softball team, the run club, the friend visiting from out of town. A booth gives all of them something shared to do between pours, and gives the next group a reason to pick your taproom.

  • Release day keepsakes. Fans line up for a limited can. A strip with your brewery’s name on it becomes part of the haul they carry home.
  • Clubs that adopt it. Run clubs and trivia teams turn a weekly photo into a habit. Picture a whole season of strips taped to somebody’s fridge.
  • The out-of-towner stop. Visitors want proof they found the local spot. A printed strip beats a blurry selfie by the fermenters.
  • Fun for the non-drinker. The designated driver and the friend who only came for the pretzels finally have their own entertainment.
  • Your label, everywhere. Strips and digital copies carry your name into feeds and onto refrigerator doors well after the pint is gone.

Building out your calendar? Our brewery event ideas post has nights that pair nicely with the booth.

Startup cost

There isn’t one. We bring the booth and handle delivery, installation, paper, repairs and insurance. The brewery provides a patch of floor and a standard outlet.

Your share

Each session sends between 10% and 25% your way, at a rate locked in writing before anyone signs. Expect a payout plus a sales report on the 1st.

Trial first

Our 12-month agreement kicks off with 90 trial days. If the taproom crowd shrugs, we wheel the booth out at our expense and that is the end of it.

How it fits

Room for it between the tanks and tables

Taprooms usually have space to spare: the end of a communal table row, a wall near the merch shelf, the corner by the restrooms. Plan for around 5 x 5 ft indoors with one standard outlet. The booth rolls on casters, so clearing room for a band or a release-day line is easy. Your beertenders keep pouring while guests pay by card or phone tap at the booth itself. We handle monitoring from afar, keep paper loaded, and dispatch a local crew if anything breaks, generally within the same day.

Full disclosure: we have not put a booth in a taproom yet. The first brewery in South Florida to host one gets to claim it. Our lone live booth is on a university campus at NSU, which is no brewery, so treat it as a sign of appetite rather than a promise. In month one it passed 300 paid sessions with about $2,400 in guest spend, and move-in week carried a big piece of that. Questions on terms? Start with our host FAQ.

Best spot

Near the merch wall or the restroom hallway, where guests already wander between rounds and can spot the topper from the bar.

Busiest moment

Saturday afternoons and release days, when groups settle in for hours and are hunting for something to do between flights.

Your branding

We wrap the cabinet to match your can art and colors, and your brewery’s name prints along every strip.

Questions from breweries

Events and a booth help each other. A trivia night or release party brings the crowd, and the booth gives that crowd a shared activity that ends with a printed keepsake.

No training required. Guests handle everything on the screen, payment included. We watch the booth remotely and take care of paper and repairs ourselves.

Apply through the host page. We review your traffic and floor plan first, because we only work with a few venues at a time, then agree on the guest price and your share.

Yes. Every strip carries the brewery’s name along the bottom, and the cabinet gets dressed in your brand, logo and all. Guests who tag @smilemore.photobooth may also end up on our Instagram.
