How Wynwood does photo booths

Wynwood is built for pictures. The murals pull crowds all day, and the galleries, bars and breweries keep people out late. A film booth fits the neighborhood well, because it is one of the few photos you can take here that ends up on paper instead of only on your phone.

The busiest night is the Second Saturday Art Walk, when galleries stay open into the evening and the streets fill up. Expect a line at any booth that night. In early December, Miami Art Week brings Art Basel visitors from around the world, and Wynwood gets packed for days. If you want a booth to yourself, pick a weeknight.

Plan your route on foot. Bellows and Mama Tried are close enough to walk between, and both are near the main mural blocks, so a strip fits into a normal afternoon of wandering.

What a strip costs

The film booths around Wynwood are cash only, so hit an ATM first. Prices change, so check the sign on the booth.

Film or digital?

Film booths develop the strip with real chemistry, so you wait a few minutes. Digital booths print faster and usually give you a phone copy too.

Best time to go

Weeknights are calm. Second Saturdays and Art Week are crowded and loud, which is half the fun if you expect a line.
